QualiThree

About

How it started

QualiThree began the way most good things do — three people who kept ending up on the same side of the whiteboard. After years of building software at other companies, we realized we shared something beyond technical taste: a conviction that the best work happens when a small team owns the entire problem, from first conversation to production deploy.

We founded Q3 to do the kind of work we'd want done on our own products — thoughtful architecture, clean interfaces, and shipping cadences measured in days rather than quarters. Every engagement starts with understanding the real problem, not the assumed one, and every line of code is written with the person maintaining it in mind.

The name is simple: three founders, quality as the constant. We keep the team intentionally small because we believe focus compounds. Fewer projects, deeper involvement, better outcomes.

The Team

Three engineers who came together to build what matters.

AC

Alex Chen

Co-Founder & CTO

Alex has spent the last decade building distributed systems at companies where uptime isn't optional. He leads Q3's technical architecture and has a knack for turning complex problems into clean APIs. When he's not reviewing pull requests, he's usually deep in a woodworking project.

JR

Jordan Riley

Co-Founder & Lead Engineer

Jordan writes code the way other people write prose — with clarity and intention. Before Q3, she built real-time collaboration tools used by millions. She's the reason our products feel fast and our deploys go smoothly. Outside of work, she runs ultramarathons.

SN

Sam Nakamura

Co-Founder & Head of Product

Sam bridges the gap between what engineers build and what users actually need. He spent years leading product at early-stage startups before co-founding Q3, where he shapes the roadmap and keeps the team focused on outcomes over output. He's also an amateur ceramicist with more mugs than cabinet space.

Work with a team that ships.

Three engineers, zero overhead. Tell us what you're building and we'll tell you honestly how we can help.
